SUGIMOTOAMY / Artist
Born in 1998. After graduating from Kyoto City University of Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, majoring in Japanese painting, she has been working as a freelance artist.

Noting that the history of Japanese painting, which is often thought of as flat, has a surprisingly flexible use of materials, she has created works that partially incorporate industrial materials such as resin and vinyl, which have not been widely used in the production of Japanese painting until now. On the other hand, the boundary between two and three dimensions is blurring violently today, as subcultures such as manga and video games are no longer subcultures, and XR is becoming a part of daily life. Therefore, she has been exploring a new approach to art, incorporating elements of installation art and contemporary art under the theme of "between 2-D and 3-D," which combines the two-dimensional and three-dimensional expressions of Japanese-style painting.
In addition to the artist's subjective aesthetics, she is also seeking a new way of expression and a way of the next generation of art that is in harmony with the social values of the future by asking questions that will lead viewers to think about social issues.
